If you’re a Mobility Disabled Concession customer or part of the Castle Hill Hospital patients’ scheme, there is no need to worry – all existing concessions will continue under the new system.
However, there is one big change you need to be aware of – Mobility disabled concession customers will need to have a Humber Bridge Toll account under the new system.
This will make managing your information and renewing your membership much easier.
If you, a family member, or carer, have any questions about the new system, you can contact our customer services team by calling 01482 235500.

The eligibility for our concession scheme remains the same.
We provide free crossings for people who are disabled (so long as they pre-register with us) and are in receipt of one of the following benefits …
A fully tax-exempt vehicle is also required, with V5 logbook classification showing “disabled” for privately owned vehicles.
If you're a patient living on the south bank who travels to Castle Hill Hospital for ongoing treatment at the oncology department, you might be eligible for their toll concession scheme.
This scheme is administered by the team at the Queen’s Centre, so they will be able to help with any queries you may have.
If you’re an existing Mobility Disabled Concession customer, we will create the account on your behalf.
Your details will be automatically migrated to your Humber Bridge Toll account before the new system is launched, and we will issue instructions on how to access it before the system goes live.
This will ensure you, a family member, or carer are able to check that your details are correct, as well as accept the account terms and conditions.
Do I need to create a new account?
No. If you’re an existing member of our Mobility Disabled Concession scheme, we will create your account. We will issue instructions on how to access it before the system goes live.
Why are you introducing accounts for concession customers?
Mobility Disabled Concession customers already have accounts. This brings those accounts into line with other users, while making it easier for members to update their information and renew membership every year.
Why are you introducing fees to create new accounts and renew existing ones?
The new fees reflect the work taken to manage records. They are in line with similar concession schemes across England.
How do I access my new account?
You’ll be able to access your account when the system goes fully operational on the Monday of the go-live weekend. To access your new account, you will need to create a new username and password. This is a simple procedure and we’ll be issuing instructions on how to do this before the launch of the new system. You’ll need to accept a new set of T&Cs.
After the new system goes live, drivers wishing to apply for our Mobility Disabled Concession scheme will need to open a Humber Bridge Toll account online and pay a one off £10 Concession Registration Fee.
You will need to renew your concession every year. We will let you know when this time is approaching.
To renew, you’ll need to provide evidence you still qualify for the scheme and pay a non-refundable renewal fee of £5 – the fee reflects the work taken to manage your records and keep you crossing for free.
If you miss the renewal, the concession will be removed from your vehicle and any crossings made will be subject to the standard toll for account holders.
If this happens, you will need to add enough funds to your account to pay for your crossings.
If you don’t, you may be subject to additional admin fees due to unpaid toll notifications being issued.
Of course, you’ll be able to rejoin the scheme at any point.
Please watch out for emails from us as we will be sending you important updates as well as instructions.
The launch of Humber Bridge Toll will take place over Saturday, 31 January and Sunday, 1 February, and will become fully operational on Monday, 2 February.
Here’s what to expect before and during the go-live weekend.
Between now and the go-live weekend
Keep using the bridge as normal.
Midnight on Friday, 30 January
At midnight on Friday, 30 January, the toll booths will close for the last time.
From that moment on, all traffic will be routed through the current tag lanes, which are being widened to two lanes in both directions.
The tolls will increase to the new prices and the new system will take over and capture information about crossings.
Monday, 2 February
From Monday, 2 February, the new Humber Bridge Toll system will be fully operational. As a concession customer, your new account will be automatically created for you and will be fully accessible from this time.
However, to access yours, you will need to create a new username and password, log in and accept the new T&Cs.
Do not worry about this, however, as we will send you instructions on how to do this before the launch takes place.
